About Us

Working with Carpark Barrier Systems
Carpark Barrier Systems (CBS) delivers complete metalwork safety packages for transportation, commercial, and industrial projects. We design, supply, and install compliant, crash-tested systems including barriers, bollards, wheel stops, and custom protection items tailored to project design and site conditions.
Our clients have found that involving CBS early in the design and construct process helps them control costs, guarantee compliance, and protect the delivery program.
What our clients value:
Architects: Improved parking yields and protection of original design intent.
Engineers: Crash-tested systems with clear compliance to AS1170.1 and AS2890.1 ensuring certainty at certification.
Head Contractors: Faster installation to keep barriers off the critical path, reduce trade clashes and improve safety onsite.
Asset owners and facility managers: Durable systems that minimise long-term maintenance costs.
Since 2009, we have delivered many projects nationally including Liverpool Hospital, Logan Hospital, Ballarat Hospital, Campbelltown Commuter Carpark, and the Brisbane Airport P2X expansion.
With over 60 years of combined engineering and construction experience, CBS is trusted to deliver large contracts on time and with full compliance. We integrate seamlessly with Aconex, Procore, ProcurePro, and 1Breadcrumb to streamline communications and document management.
FutureGuard™
FutureGuard™ is our proprietary crash-tested barrier system designed for modern multi-level car park environments. It offers a compact footprint and a clean architectural finish that integrates well with contemporary building designs.
Developed to improve on traditional bulky industrial style barriers, FutureGuard™ is widely specified on Tier 1 and Tier 2 projects across Australia.
The clean design reduces visual impact, improves buildability and ensures full compliance with all relevant Australian Standards.
Our Projects
At Carpark Barrier Systems, we deliver complete project packages, not just products. Our team works closely with builders, site supervisors, and project managers to ensure rapid, safe installation and compliance with all relevant standards.
Our innovative FutureFix™ cast-in fixing method provides immediate edge protection during construction. It eliminates the need for post-fix drilling, protecting post-tensioning ducts and reinforcement, and reducing silicosis risks.
We have contributed to hundreds of projects nationwide, consistently delivering certified, coordinated, and efficient safety systems tailored to each site’s unique challenges.
Liverpool Hospital – ADCO Constructions
Liverpool Hospital’s new 1250 car space multi-level carpark required a robust and comprehensive barrier package. CBS were engaged by ADCO Constructions to supply and install approx 3200 linear metres of FutureGuard crash barriers onto our innovative FutureFix cast-in no-drill fixing system, including heavy-duty 240kN end-of-ramp barriers.
Mesh screens were installed between internal levels for fall protection, along with an extensive scope of ancillary metalwork including bollards, corner guards, downpipe protectors, speed humps, mirrors, wheelstops and height bars. Linemarking was also completed as part of our package. The result is a durable, compliant and clean architectural outcome, delivered on time to support a critical health infrastructure project in South Western Sydney.
Concord Hospital – Lipman / Aambianz
As part of the facade and metalworks package for Lipman at Concord Hospital, CBS was engaged by Aambianz to deliver 1,050 metres of FutureGuard barrier across five levels of structured car parking. The barrier scope included perimeter edges behind the facade blades, ramp transitions, split-level drops, and other exposed edges, with integrated anti-climb mesh panels to meet stringent balustrade and fall protection requirements.
This project utilised our FutureFix no-drill cast-in system, ensuring fast, accurate installation with no risk to post-tensioned slabs or surrounding finishes. The clean lines and compact profile of the FutureGuard system preserved the architectural intent of the facade and delivered a durable, high-end finish that satisfied both structural and aesthetic expectations.
Daikin Expansion – CIP Constructions
CBS supplied and installed 650 metres of FutureGuard crash barrier for the multi-level carpark at Daikin’s expanded Chipping Norton facility. Installed on our proprietary FutureFix no-drill cast-in system, each barrier stage was completed within one week of each slab pour, allowing early removal of formwork and scaffolding without the need for temporary handrails. The use of FutureFix ensured no risk to PT strands, and eliminates the silicosis risks associated with drilling.
Materials were craned progressively to each level as the carpark was built, avoiding double handling and reducing access and labour costs. The scope of works also included bollards, downpipe guards, carpark fitout and 40kN truck rated guardrail as part of a full project-based metalwork scope.
