      FutureGuard™ Car Park Barrier System

      Faster. Smarter. Safer.
The future of perimeter protection for carparks.

      Smarter Protection for Modern Carparks

FutureGuard™ is a fully tested and certified barrier system engineered for elevated and multi-level car parks. It was developed to solve the shortcomings of conventional W-beam barriers. The system combines robust protection with a clean, modern profile.

Unlike bulky W-beams or concrete upstands, FutureGuard™ offers a streamlined, architectural look that complements contemporary car park designs. It delivers the strength you need without compromising aesthetics or cost efficiency. This makes it the smarter choice for projects that demand both safety and style.

      Proprietary Design for Australian Projects

FutureGuard™ is a proprietary system designed and tested specifically for the Australian market. It has been engineered to overcome the common installation and visual challenges posed by traditional car park barriers. The result is a system that ensures lasting durability and compliance.

      Faster Installation with FutureFix™ Integration

When paired with our FutureFix™ cast-in jig system, FutureGuard™ installation becomes faster, cleaner and safer.

      • No Drilling Required. Avoid messy, time-consuming concrete drilling.

      • Preserve Structural Integrity. Protect against penetrating PT tendons and reinforcement.

      • Flexible Layouts. Barrier lengths and spacing are tailored to your site, free from preset restrictions.

      • Minimal Disruption. Rapid installation reduces time on site for other trades.

      • Clean Finish. Consistent sightlines and a refined appearance elevate the overall project look.

      Built to Australian Standards

FutureGuard™ is engineered and crash tested to comply with all relevant requirements for vehicle containment, pedestrian safety, anti-climb protection and sighting rails. Key standards include:

      • AS 1170.1 – Structural Design Actions. Ensuring strength and performance under all loading conditions.

      • AS 2890.1 – Parking Facilities. Guaranteeing seamless integration with carpark layouts while delivering critical safety.

These standards safeguard against vehicle impact, support pedestrian protection and maintain the structural integrity of your facility.

      Custom Solutions for Every Project

FutureGuard™ offers multiple configurations to suit different project needs and site conditions.

      • Series 1. Crash barrier with integrated anti-climb mesh to 1100mm high.

      • Series 2. Crash barrier with integrated anti-climb mesh to 1100mm high and a top sighting rail at 1300mm high.

      • Series 3. Crash barrier 600mm high.

      • Series 4. Crash barrier 600mm high with a top sighting rail at 1300mm high.

This tiered system allows you to select the right balance of vehicle protection, pedestrian safety and visual control.

Our team works with you to configure the ideal solution. That may mean basic perimeter protection, end-of-bay sighting rails, or integrated mesh panels for pedestrian exposure areas.

      What is FutureGuard?

FutureGuard™ is a modular crash barrier system designed for car parks and industrial environments. It offers faster installation, smarter design, and a more attractive outcome than traditional W-beam or fabricated barriers.

How does FutureGuard compare to W-beam barriers?

FutureGuard offers a cleaner aesthetic, easier modular installation, and better integration with mesh for pedestrian zones.

FutureGuard is installed faster, occupies less space on the slab, and improves the overall appearance and amenity of carpark areas.

What is the difference between the FutureGuard Series 1–4?

All FutureGuard barriers incorporate a crash-tested barrier rail to meet AS1170.1 vehicle impact and AS2890.1 compliance requirements.

The main differences relate to the inclusion of mesh for pedestrian protection, and the top rail for AS2890.1 compliance if the barrier is located at the end of the carpark space.

      • Series 1: 1100mm mesh barrier (vehicle + pedestrian protection)

      • Series 2: 1100mm mesh + 1300mm top rail (vehicle + pedestrian protection, for end of bay location)

      • Series 3: 600mm crash barrier (vehicle protection)

      • Series 4: 600mm crash barrier + 1300mm top rail (vehicle protection, for end-of-bay location)

If you have a specific fall height and carpark configuration in mind you can use our FutureGuard Barrier Specifier to check which system is correct for your application.

What fall heights require barriers in a car park?

According to AS2890.1 Section 2.4.5.3, barriers shall be constructed to prevent vehicles from running over the edge of a raised platform or deck.

They are required wherever the drop from the edge of the deck to a lower level exceeds 600 mm.

For falls over 1 metre and where pedestrians are exposed, mesh infill or suitable measures are required to ensure pedestrian safety is also provided.

Is FutureGuard compliant with Australian Standards?

Yes. FutureGuard has been crash tested and verified to exceed the requirements of AS/NZS 1170.1 for structural loading, and offers a range of system configurations to achieve full compliance with AS/NZS 2890.1 for off-street parking areas.

What are the surface finish options?

Standard finish for FutureGuard barrier components is hot dip galvanised (AS4680/AS4792) for long-term corrosion protection.

The FutureGuard anti-climb mesh panels are pre-galvanised to AS/NZS 4534.

Custom powdercoated finishes are also available to achieve visual match to surrounding elements.

What makes FutureGuard™ faster to install?

FutureGuard allows the use of our proprietary FutureFix™ cast-in system, allowing no-drill installation in most new concrete slab situations. This significantly reduces install time and minimises disruption to surrounding works.

In addition this eliminates the need to drill into concrete slabs, saving time and money on concrete scanning, protecting the integrity of the new slab, and ensuring there is no risk to PT ducts, critical reinforcing, and in-slab services.

The post spacings for FutureGuard are up to 2.45m apart, improving the efficiency of the installation process.  The continous rail design means long barrier runs can be installed up to 50% quicker than conventional barriers.

Can FutureGuard be used for retrofit applications to achieve compliance in existing carparks?

Yes absolutely. FutureGuard can be retrofitted into existing carparks using either our approved Chemset fixing system, or drill/bolt-through methods where required for thin slab areas with underside access.

If there are any structural concrete remediation works or new hobs to be incorporated this will allow the use of our proprietary cast-in FutureFix system.

A key benefit of using FutureGuard in a retro-fit application is the narrow system profile (just 140mm depth of barrier) which means there is minimal intrusion on the car park spaces and the maximum area is retained for parking while still achieving crash barrier compliance.

Do you supply and install Australia-wide?

Yes. We offer full supply and installation for multi-storey carparks across Australia, including the placement of our FutureFix cast-in fixing systems.

We also offer supply-only services, along with options for training and on-site support by our teams to ensure your installation process proceeds smoothly with full compliance.

How do I specify FutureGuard in my project?

Product: FutureGuard carpark crash barrier to elevated areas in full compliance with AS1170.1 and AS2890.1.
Fixings: FutureFix cast-in fixing system, or other approved drill/fix method.
